Call (661) 579-6088How Billing Works
Step 1
Verify Coverage
Before your first visit, the practice checks your specific benefits so you know what to expect.
Step 2
Service Provided
You receive your consultation or procedure. Your co-pay, if your plan has one, is typically due at the visit.
Step 3
Claim Submitted
A claim is sent to your insurance company. They review it and send you an Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
Step 4
You Pay Remainder
Any portion applied to your deductible or coinsurance is billed to you after the insurer has processed the claim.
Self-Pay Options
If you do not have insurance or choose not to use it, the practice provides a good faith estimate before care so you can understand the expected costs ahead of time.
Under the federal No Surprises Act, patients who are uninsured or self-pay have the right to receive a good faith estimate of expected charges for scheduled care. Call (661) 579-6088 to ask about yours.
Billing Questions
How do I find out if my plan covers my procedure?
Call the office at (661) 579-6088. The practice verifies your specific benefits before your first visit. You can also call the member services number on your insurance card to ask about coverage for a specific procedure.
What is a deductible?
A deductible is the amount you pay for covered care each plan year before your insurance begins to share costs. Surgical care is often subject to the deductible, so it helps to know how much of yours has been met.
What is the difference between a co-pay and coinsurance?
A co-pay is a fixed amount you pay for a service. Coinsurance is a percentage of the allowed cost that you pay after your deductible is met. Your plan documents show which applies to your care.
What is an Explanation of Benefits (EOB)?
An EOB is a statement from your insurer showing what was billed, what the plan paid, and what you may owe. It is not a bill, but you can compare it against any statement you receive from the practice.
Do I need a referral or prior authorization?
Some plans require a referral for a specialist visit or prior authorization for certain procedures. Requirements differ by plan, so the office can help you understand what your plan asks for before scheduling.
